LS Interactive Bubbly Water Mermaid Relax Card

Hi. I'm so happy to share a fun interactive card I've made for the Lemon Shortbread Blog Challenge. This card is for the new Challenge #98 which is an Anything Goes Challenge with the chance to win some fantastic Lemon Shortbread digital stamps. On this card I've used this gorgeous digital stamp called Mermaid Relax designed by Lemon Shortbread.

I coloured her hair using purple ball point biro pen, the rest of her using Touch Five Markers and water coloured pencils for the sea background. I ran distress ink across some card to make a wooden effect background.

For the outside of the card I die cut into both the front of the card and background layer of card stock. I filled clear, plastic zip lock bags with hair gel in leaving some air bubbles in. But making sure to push the gel to all corners of the bag to get most of the extra air out of the bag. I stuck them around all sides to the base of the front of the card. I added foam tape to the back of the wooden effect layer of card. This technique gives the impression that the bag is full of movable bubbly water. It's such a fun technique to try and all the children love to play with them. 

I then embellished the outside of my card with a matching die cut frame around the gel hole, a anchor die cut and some die cut foliage and flowers. For the inside I added a frame around her to look like a easel.
