Tinker Sassy Tag

Hi. I've got a bit of a late blog tonight. With it being the school holidays I'm busying myself with children's crafts with my daughter. I have however found some time to create a tag for the Dare to be Sassy Thursday Challenge Blog called Tag you're it. This Challenge Blog can be found here . They also have a Facebook group here . I decided to make a tag using Sassy Studio Designs Tinker Sassy digital stamp. To find their beautiful stamps please click here . I've coloured her with Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils. I've used a die from a Spellbinders Marrocan Accents die set. I cut it out five times and added them around the image to use as a frame. I then attached some coloured wool to complete the tag. I've embellished with flower punches coloured, shaped and layered up. The sentiment is from a Peachy Keens stamp set PK-121 Fairies and Girl Gnomes. Ok so here is a picture of the finished product. Thank you so much for taking the time t...

Bunny Easter Card

Hi everyone. I made this card for my 6 year old daughter during the week for Easter. After the tradgic loss of my Mother In Law I haven't blogged it. To add it into the Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge I am blogging it now. This is a Greda Steiner Designs digital stamp called Nerdy But Nice Bunny. I received this image as part of Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge. But this digital stamp can be purchased here . I wanted to make a Easter card for my daughter who loves how cute Gerda Steiner Designs images are. So this bunny is perfect. She loves the colour pink and my 3D flowers. I've coloured the bunny using Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils. The Easter Egg has been made using The Brother Scan N Cut. I used a pre made shape within the system and edited it by adding the heart shapes to the design. I coloured that with watercolour pencils. The sentiment is from a Peachy Keens Easter stamp set. I made the flower by cutting out the shape. Colouring them in wit...

Sad news

Hi. I'm doing a non crafting post today. I'm posting to show my love and respect for a very special lady Vivienne Holden. I know that there are lots of people. Parents, Grandparents and Children who are going to have a lovely day being Easter Sunday. But last night a very special lady. A lovely, kind, caring, amazing lady left us. She was taken from us to early by cancer. She tried her best to fight it but unfortunately and very suddenly things got to much for her. Leaving behind her Husband, four Son's and Grandchildren. To me she was like my second Mum. I'm her oldest Son Barry's Parter and Mother of two of her Grandchildren Teigan (her first Granddaughter) who loves her so much and Oliver (who is nearly two.) She showed me, taught me and shared with me many things including her love for crafting. She helped me find my creative calling. I often sit and read through Viv's blog. It's inspires me to create card but not all about card. She write about her fa...

You can join in with this months Progressive Challenge here . This stamp is called Let It Go Sassy and can be found in there online shop here . As it's a card for a child I wanted it to be interactive. So I made it a shaker card. Using sequins sealed in the card. I did it by using acetate, a frame to stick it to and foam pads all the way round to seal it in. To add a bit of interest I added some Xcut floral flourish dies. I made 3D snow flake flowers using a small flower punch. Within my collection of rubber stamps I found this sentiment stamp. I thought would be perfect for this card but it's not got any information on it about who created the stamp so I'm unsure who made it sorry. To finish of I've used a embossing folder for the background. I've coloured using Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pe...

Steampunk Themed Bella Bride

Hi. I've made a Steampunk themed card that I'd like to share with you today. I've using a digital stamp called Bella Bride designed by Sassy Studio Designs. There online shop can be found here . I got this digital stamp from there Flash Back Friday on there Facebook group which can be found here . I've never made a Steampunk themed card before so I wasn't quite sure what to do. So I researched the theme. In the end I loved creating with this theme. I have coloured most of this card using Rangers Distress Inks like watercolours. I used Vintage Photo and Wild Honey colour. I used a Marianne Designs clock die set. Two embossing folders for the background. I needed some cogs/gears but I don't have any dies of them. So I used my brother scan and cut to create some using pre made shapes on the machine and I put them in a way to make the look of cogs/gears and bolts. I think they turned out very well in the end. I've made this card for the Sassy Studio Designs bl...

Phoenix

Hello. Today I'm sharing a card I've made using Phoenix from Art by Mi Ran. This digital stamp is the first Art by Mi Ran stamp that I've got and it can be found on her online Esty shop here . I descovered the group through Facebook where she has her own group. This group can be found here . To make this card I've used Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils. For the background I've embossed the paper and created three embossed tags. I wanted some feathers to match perfectly in colour. So I created my own. I got some card stock cut out the shape and cut into it, rounding/curling the cuts as I went to make the feather look realistic. After I did that all the way on both side I added a extra strip down the centre. It took a little bit of time but I think the effect turned out really nice. I'd like to enter this card into Mi Ran's Art Progressive Challenge on her Facebook group which can be found here . I'd also like to enter the Digichooseday...
